On Time. On Budget. Done Right.

At MilleStone, we pride ourselves on doing the job on time, doing it for the price we have quoted and doing the job right. It’s our standard and creed.

In order to deliver on our promise, we specialize in all aspects of our projects: from consultation and design, to fabrication, installation and education.   Why education?  Well, we’re committed to helping the customer understand what’s involved in maintaining the product, which is very little. It’s more about what NOT to do than what TO do.

Design, Fabrication, Installation

MilleStone fabricates and install stone, porcelain, and Quartz products. Commonly used stone is granite, marble, travertine, limestone, sandstone, and onyx. We work with slab and tile, which includes flooring and walls, countertops, table, furniture, fireplace surrounds, and other specialty items. We don’t do Formica, Cultured Marble and Corian.

Restoration

MilleStone’s restoration division was born in answer to customer’s cry for the service. We specialize in bringing back the original luster of granite, marble, travertine and limestone, at a portion of the cost of replacement.

Our History

Mark DeMille is the founder, owner, and lead designer at MilleStone Marble & Tile.  He has been in the stone and tile business since 1980 when he came to the Coachella Valley to lay tile at Dorado Villas in Indian Wells.

In the over three decades that Mark has been serving customers, his company has grown from a relatively small operation to a successful venture occupying a new location in the rapidly growing Thousand Palms business park.

Prior to the move, MilleStone was in a prime location on Cook Street in Palm Desert for 30 years, well known for the 12 foot tall ram marble sculpture which stood on the corner.  In 2009 during the recession, the company underwent a rebranding and changed the name from DeMille Marble & Granite to MilleStone Marble & Tile, to better define services, and demonstrates the value of the company’s team, instead of the emphasis on DeMille.

A Commitment to our Community

MilleStone Marble & Tile has contributed to a variety of community projects including the Lost Airman’s Memorial on display at the Palm Springs International Airport, The Holocaust Memorial at the Palm Desert Civic Center Park, Habitat for Humanity, and the majestic stone statue of the Bighorn Sheep located on the street in front of the showroom.

Mark’s wife Michele is on the board of the Family YMCA of the Desert, and both Mark & Michele contribute a great deal of time working with the non-profit which serves over 3,500 children in the valley daily. Such involvement is a source of pride that Mark carries with him in both his personal and professional lives.

A FAMILY LEGACY OF CREATIVITY

Son of the renown Leslie DeMille, artist whose sculptural work is featured at the Reagan Library, Mark is also related to the famous filmmaker Cecil B. DeMille. The famed director of such films as Sunset Boulevard, The Squaw Man, and The Ten Commandments, Cecil DeMille was a distant cousin of some generations back. But definitely related.

The legacy of creativity continues, and can be found in other family members creative endeavors:
