How to Repair Broken Granite

JOB DESCRIPTION

Problem When weight was put on the counter, the corner snapped off.

Solution The area underneath the broken piece was cleaned thoroughly. The piece was shimmed and leveled out so that it lined up with the counter and epoxied in place with a high grade epoxy. The remaining crack on the face was then cosmetically filled with an acrylic penetrating resin. That glue was then ground flush and the top brought back to a polish to blend with the remaining areas. The vertical edges were also ground flat so they would be smooth to the touch.

Result A repair that could not be felt and only seen in very unique lighting conditions.
